Obituary of Etienne Albert Delage
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Etienne Delage of Chatham, Ontario.
He was born in Paris, France in 1940. As a friend, parent, husband and horticulturist Etienne embraced life and his interests were diverse and far reaching - good food, wine, roses, history, singing, the outdoors. He operated Chatham Nursery for over 40 years.
For 25 years he was a passionate member of the Chatham Cultural Choir. Etienne loved to laugh - often at his own expense.
Etienne was the devoted and loving husband to Christiane for almost 50 years, wonderful father to Bruno (Kelly) and cherished Papy to Finnegan. He is preceded in death by his son, Bernard (1992) and his parents, Jacques and Agnes. He is also survived by his brothers, Yves and Christian in France and by loving-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long time friends.
He will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle soul.
