Obituary of Reuben Lafuente Galita

Suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Tuesday January 23, 2018, Reuben Lafuente Galita, age 77, of Chatham, beloved husband of Corazon (Chua) Galita.

Born in Bulan Sorsogon, the Philippines in 1941, son of the late Josefa (Lafuente) and Pablo Galita.  Reuben was a Programmer at Union Gas and a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

Loving father of Edmond Galita, Polly Galita, Marlon (Dian) Galita, Margie Galita (Paige Armstrong), Michael Galita (Joanne and Maria Frangos-Lehrer) and Natalie Samaroo. Cherished grandfather of Tai Galita, Meeka Galita, Gabi Galita, Jayden Galita, Ariella Frangos-Lehrer and Noah Frangos-Lehrer.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday January 28, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 29, 2018 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church.  

Cremation will follow.
