Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Saturday March 10, 2018, Leona Paula Bishop, age 79, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Dariel Bishop (1989). 

Born in Chatham on March 26, 1938, daughter of the late Marie (VanDommel) and Camille Defreyne.

Loving mother of Blake (Pam) Taylor and Valerie (Bernie) Murphy. Cherished grandmother of Ashley Hope, Alyssa Taylor, Robert Murphy and Kyler Murphy and great grandmother of Alyvia, Emmersyn, Owen, Bella and Thomas. Dear sister of Paula Vannieuwenhuyze. Predeceased by a son Kevin Taylor (1984).   

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday March 12, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to Canadian Blood Services or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
