Obituary of Aldrich "Al" Charles Kovar
Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Saturday March 24, 2018, Aldrich “Al” Charles Kovar, age 84, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Martha (Sojak) Kovar (2017).
Born in Dzova, Czechoslovakia in 1933, son of the late Bozena “Bessie” (Zvonek) Kovar and Charles Kovar. Al farmed all of his life with his wife Martha, loved hunting and any outdoor activity and adored spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Father James Assembly, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Council #10436.
Loving father of Valerie Wolfe, Randy (Jane), Terry (Randy) Billard and Robert (Tracy). Cherished by his grandchildren Christopher (Nina) Campbell, Jesse, Kaleb, Keegan, Katey and Kyler Kovar and great granddaughter Yeva. Dear brother of Elizabeth “Bessie” Jurasek and Alice (Bill) James.
Predeceased by a sister Lillian Lupasko (2008) and a brother-in-law Stan Jurasek (2009).
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday March 26, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
Members of the Father James Assembly, 4th degree Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Council #10436 are asked to gather for a prayer service Monday at 7:30 pm followed by presentation of the Chalice. Color guard will stand watch from 7-9 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
