Obituary of Kenneth Orval Brown
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Orval Brown on April 8th, peacefully surrounded by his family.
Survived by his wife, or ‘bride’ as he called her, Patricia (Breen). Loving father of Ken Brown Jr., Matt (Lynn) McCaffrey, Chris (Helen) McCaffrey, Jennifer (Dave) Simon, Stephanie (Dave) Lachine and father in law of Sue Brown and Brenda Brown. Dearest grandfather of Connor, Neill, and Rachel McCaffrey, Andrew Simon, Aidan and Paige Lachine, Chris Brown and Michelle Wilson, Dawn Wade, Christina Brown, Dean Brown, Jessica Wilken, Charlotte Vaughn, Jack Brown, John Paul Finoro.
He will be sadly missed by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Mary, sons Jack, Joe and Doug, brother Earl, and sister MaryAnn Panchyshak, and his parents Orval and Beatrice Brown.
Ken was a custodian at Indian Creek Road Public School and continued to enjoy stories of the good old days as many of his nurses and support staff were former students. He proudly served in the Navy as a cook. He was a food and beverage connoisseur and has no doubt already reserved a table at Tim Hortons to meet with his family before him.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10 am in St. Ursula's Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of 3 East at Riverview Gardens for their kind and compassionate care.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society-Day program, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
