Obituary of Alojz Jelusic

Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Hospice, on ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Saturday, April 14, 2018, Alojz Jelusic, age 89, of Chatham and formerly of Windsor.  Born in Kazle, Slovenia on May 31, 1928.  Predeceased by his parents Alojz and Amalija.  Loving husband of the late Rosa (Razem) Jelusic (2016). 

He leaves his children Richard and Boris (Karen) along with grandchildren Zachary and Sonja. 

Predeceased by his siblings, Paula, Evana, Vera and Mario. 

Alojz immigrated to Canada in 1950 and met his future wife in a logging camp in Northern Ontario.  He was a proud member of the Windsor Slovenian Community. 

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Chatham Retirement Resort, Bayshore Healthcare and the Chatham-Kent Hospice for the care and compassion given to Alojz. 

A private service was held at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday, April 23, 2018.
