Gerard was the youngest son of the late parents Calixte Faubert and Alida Quenneville. Survived by his youngest sister Florence (late Cyril) VanBastelaar.

Predeceased by only daughter Monique Marie Faubert (2013). Predeceased by oldest sister Marianne Faubert  (1917-1999) and brothers Origene Faubert (1918-2006), Alphonse (1922-2003) (Bernadine) Faubert, and Lionel Faubert (1926-2001).

Born to the farming community, started working at age 6 alongside his older brothers looking after the plowing Percherand team. Married to the late Carol Ann Alston (1997) on August 2, 1958 had Marc and Monique. Continued his life as a farmer and physically retired about 4 years ago but continued to mentor his family about farm operations.  Favorite pastime was to  watch documentaries on TV, reading and to visit Tim Horton’s coffee shop in town chatting with friends. Enjoyed lunch every Thursday with family and late friend Rosaire Myers (2016). Gerard was very excited to know and be a part of the International Plowing Match 2018 held beside his farm. Was an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. Was awarded Long Service Certificate by the Canadian Seed Grower’s Association as his participation in pedigreed seed production.  Deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and health care team who provided comfort in his life’s journey at Chatham-Kent health Alliance.
