Obituary of Rosa Jelusic

Peacefully at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Sunday, May 1, 2016, Rosa Jelusic, age 83, of Chatham and formerly of Windsor. Born in Velike Loče, Slovenia on October 3, 1932. Predeceased by her parents Franc and Anna Razem. She is survived by her devoted husband Alojz. She leaves her children Richard and Boris (Karen) along with grandchildren Zachary and Sonja.
Predeceased by her siblings Pepe, Anica, Franca, Paula, Carlo and Miro.
Rosa immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her sister Paula and met her future husband in a logging camp in Northern Ontario. She was a proud member of the Windsor Slovenian Community.
A private service was held at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11 AM. Rosa’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff on Lily Valley East at Riverview Gardens, Dr. Park Parry, Wendy Ferris and Colleen Woodrow.
Donations to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Oncology Unit would be appreciated.
