Obituary of Catherine Frances Doyle
Peacefully, at Maple City Residence on Thursday, July 5, 2018, Catherine Frances “Fran” (nee Major), loving wife of the late Don Doyle (1998). Daughter of the late Frank and Cissie Major. Born in Strathroy, ON on August 2, 1919.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Tim (Nancy) Doyle, Anne (Guy) Foster, Cathy (Dan) Laforet and Daniel Doyle. Predeceased by her infant daughter Mary Louise (1957). Cherished Nana of Sue (Pat) Lynch, Jason Doyle, Andrew (Jennifer) Foster, Mark (Diana) Foster, Maureen Foster, Erin (Keith) Dejaegher, Sarah (Steve) Nichols, Amy Laforet and Jeromy Rushlow. Predeceased by infant grand daughter Kimberley (1969). Caring Gran-Nana to Natasha, Ethan, Mason, Paige, Kayla, Brayden, Ryan and Ella. Survived by one brother Paul (Marilyn) Major and sisters-in-law Lila Major, Violet Major, Mary Major and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Margaret Kearney and brothers Felix, Mark, Philip, Peter and David. Also predeceased by sisters-in-law Helen Earl and Marian McEachren and brothers-in-law John Doyle, Patrick Doyle and Tim Doyle.
She graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Chatham in 1943. She was a member of St. Joseph’s (City) C.W.L. and Past President of St. Ursula’s C.W.L.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 PM. C.W.L. Prayers will follow. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM in St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

The family is very appreciative of the great care and compassion that the Staff of Maple City Residence and the Care Partners gave to our Mom.
