Peacefully, at home, on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from cancer in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (Peltier), father of Annette, Jerome (Gail), and Jim Jr. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Claudette (2007).
Grandfather of Cynthia (Alex), Sarah (Jon), Andraya, Joshua, Katie (Paul) and Nicole (Tom). Proud great grandfather of Cedric, Bryden, Mateo and Briella.
Dear son of the late William and Febranie Blair. Brother of Clarise Myers and Diane Allaer. Predeceased by his siblings Luella Caron, Clara Willmore, Reg, Gord, Bill and Roland Blair. Also brother-in-law to Harry Willmore, Alice Blair, and Betty Blair.
Jim and Shirley enjoyed a long retirement with both retiring in 1993. They did a lot of travelling and enjoyed many family gatherings.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 2 – 5 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11 am in Immaculeé Conception Church, Pain Court. Cremation will follow.
