Obituary of Maurice Joseph Formosa

Aged 85, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Saturday, November 10, 2018. 

Born in Malta, the son of Carmela and Carmeno.  Brother of Trajano (Connie), Arthur (Mary), Alfred (Christina), Polly (Twany), Francis (Lewis), Mary (Sidney), Carmen (Charles).  Sadly missed by his wife Evelyn (Psaila), his children,  Mary, Dave (Cathy), Trajano (Cindy), Fred (Randy), April (Mike), Hildred, Joyce, Maurice Jr.  Also his extended family in England and Malta. 

Predeceased by daughters Glory Ann (1998) and Evelyn McGee (2018).  Maurice came to Canada in 1952.  He enjoyed doing bodywork and retired from Navistar. 

He enjoyed spending time with his 27 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Maurice will be remembered and missed by all. 

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.

 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church.

 Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
