Obituary of Elena Ruth Garson

Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2016 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metroplitan Campus, Windsor. Born in Chatham, Ontario in 1922, to parents Mary and George Garson.
Survived by her 100 year old sister and best friend, Winifred Westlake.
Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by sisters Evelyn Munro, Lorraine Edie, Florence Lotts and Donna Brooks.
Elena was one of the first employees in 1960 of the Cleary Auditorium in Windsor and was the executive secretary for many years until her retirement. She spent many hours working lovingly on her favourite hobby of creating and sculpting ceramic figurines, ‘from a little ball of clay.’
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Craford Cemetery, Cedar Springs, at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
