Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, Chatham, on Saturday February 9, 2019, Morgan "Al" Powell, age 82, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Carol Ann (Crowell) Powell (1999). 

Born in Montreal in 1936, son of the late Elizabeth (Morgan) and Charles Powell.  

Cherished father of Pam (Perry) Lane, Carol Ann (David) Cooper, Cathy (Desmond) Fernandes, John (Jeni) Powell, Mark (Sarah) Powell and Michael (Lisa) Powell. Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.   Predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.   

As were Al’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service at this time.   

Cremation has taken place.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Morgan's Life on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1pm until 6pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 642 located at 39 William Street North, Chatham.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
