Obituary of Rev. Leona Segee-Wright
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday March 20, 2019, Rev. Leona Segee-Wright, of Chatham, former spouse of Melvin “Bud” Wright. Born in Chatham daughter of the late Ida (Timbers) and John Segee.
Leona was pastor of Voice of Triumph Ministries. She had a beautiful singing voice that didn’t need a microphone and also played the piano/organ if you needed that also.
Loving mother of Richard (Cathy) Wright, Lisa (Conroy) Woodham and Nicole Wright. Cherished grandmother of Taisha Woodham, Quincy Wright, Daphne Woodham and Skylar Wright. Dear sister of Sharon (Rev. Hercules) Walker, Annette (James) Ellison, Rosemary Davis, Lydia (Jerry) Webb, Douglas (Deb) Segee. Predeceased by sisters; LaJean Ford, Betty Jane Gardner and brothers; William and Robert Segee. Leona also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews that were all her favorites.
Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family for visitation at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday March 29, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul’s Congregational Church (450 Park Ave. W., Chatham) on Saturday March 30, 2019 at 11 am with visitation from the church 10 am until the time of the service.
Burial will be in North Buxton Community Church Cemetery.
