Obituary of Vernell Gilbert Brown

Vernell Gilbert Brown was born June 22, 1938 in Chatham-Kent. He passed away peacefully at the age of 80, on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with his loving and devoted wife Eleanor (List) Brown of 60 years by his side.

Predeceased by his father and mother, Earl and Kathleen (Freeman) Brown. Also predeceased by brothers Earl and Garnet (Jerelene), and survived by sister Ileen (Ken) Reid and sister-in-law Appaline Brown.

Devoted father of Cheryl (Vince) Laprise, Terry Withers, Joe (Sherry) Brown, Ken Brown (Rosalinde Jackson) and Gary (Bobbie-Jo) Brown. Loving grandfather to Lynnise (Jason) McIntyre, Vince, Janelle, Jennifer, Tikesha, Shaphan, Zachary, Kierra, Darnell, Justin (Leslie), Matthew, Tyler and Rachel Brown.

He was also blessed to have 14 great grandchildren with one on the way. He will be dearly missed by all.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 3:00-5:00 PM and 7:00- 9:00 PM on Monday May 6, 2019.

Funeral Service will be conducted in North Buxton Community Church (21991 Ad Shadd Rd. North Buxton) on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Clark Veltcamp officiating.

Burial will be in North Buxton Community Church Cemetery.
