Peacefully, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, Mary Theresa Louise Kys, age 88, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Frank Kys (2001). 

Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Eugenia Martens  and Jules Staal.  Beloved mother of Ed (Barb) Kys of Chatham, John (Carol) Kys of London, Joanne (Dan) Deneau of Chatham, and David (Joanne) Kys of Singapore, 10 grandchildren, Erin, Christine, Courtney, Jordan, Jacob, Eric, Jack, Alannah, Lauren and Nicolas and two great grandchildren Zaya and Kingston. 

Sister of Juliette (Robert) VanBiesbrouck, Diana (Larry) Swift, Jean (Jim) Earley, Louise Kaloyanis and Jules (Cathy) Staal.  Sister-in-law of Frank (Helen) Vajdik. 

Predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law John Kaloyanis, Paul Capka and Anne Capka and by her father and mother in law Joe and Anna Kys.  

 Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 2 – 4, and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 12 pm in Blessed Sacrament Church.

 Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to the Chatham Concert Band and Chatham Outreach for Hunger would be appreciated.
