Obituary of Amy Ilene Nichol

Peacefully, at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, on Friday, November 8, 2019, Amy Ilene Nichol, age 92, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Arthur Vosding Sr. (1967) and Robert Nichol (2010).  Born in Harrow in 1927, daughter of the late Myrtle (Schooley) and Norman Affleck.  

Loving mother of the late Arthur Vosding Jr. (2017) and Vanessa (Charles) Mifsud and stepmother of Fran (Jim) Byers and Cathy (Doug) Patterson.  Dearest grandmother of Rhonda (Tommy) Conaway, Adam Vosding, Jason Stirling, Neva (Kurt) Nicholson-Kincaid, Jake (Jessica) Byers, Edward (Sophie) Byers and Spencer Stoehr.  Great grandmother of Kacey, Alyssa and Dylan Conaway, Loki Stirling, Lucas and Christopher Byers and Archie Byers.  Loving sister of the late Donald Affleck, nephews Don (Marlene) Affleck and John (Helen) Affleck, daughters-in-law Linda Vosding and Diane Greenhalgh-Vosding, and son-in-law John Wass.  

As per Amy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private, family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. 

Amy had a zest for life, and in her earlier years, enjoyed camping with her family at Sauble Beach.  She loved her work as an Opthalmic Assistant, travelling, gardening and swimming. She was also a snowbird in Winter Haven, FL., for many years, with her loving husband.  She truly will be missed by her family, and we thank her for all the memories she has left us, to cherish, for the rest of our lives.
