DRIES, SISTER JULMA   (Julma Evelyn) entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Villa Angela in Chatham, Ontario.   Born in Ruscom, Ontario in 1921, the daughter of the late Isadore and Stephanie (Schiettecatte) Dries. 

She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1941.  During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a homemaker at “The Pines” and Glengarda, Kindergarten teacher and social worker in Drumheller, Alberta, Sacristan at “The Pines” and in 1997 entered into the ministry of Pastoral Assistant in London, Tilbury and Brescia.  Sister returned to the “The Pines” in 1986 and assisted in the infirmary and other community work until the move to Villa Angela in 2006. 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews who remained in close contact with her, many great grand nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  Predeceased by siblings, Henry, Mary Gevaert, Peter, Wilma Bissonnette, Margaret McKeegan, and Madeline Dries.  

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham.  

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
