Obituary of Patricia "Pat" Pinsonneault
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Patricia “Pat” Pinsonneault (Burlingham) in her 80th year on December 11th, 2019. Born on March13th, 1940 to the late Francis and Lorraine (Quenneville) Burlingham.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband Ivon Joseph Pinsonneault of 58 years. Cherished mother to Alan (Karen), Gregory (Louise) Christopher (Margaret) and Patrick (Carmen). Proud Meme to 17 grandchildren and 7 (soon to be 9) great grandchildren. Pat will be greatly missed by her siblings, Mary Lynn (Leo) Deschamps, Judy Malatte, Rose (Ray) Chalmers, Susan (Ray) DiBrita, Stanely Burlingham, Catherine (Tom) Coates, Vince Burlingham, Thelma (Lorne) McEwen and many nieces and nephews. Pat was pre deceased by her brothers Frank and Danny, a brother in law Ray Malatte and sisters in law Irene and Cynthia. Also a great grandson Hunter.
At the young age of 13 Pat left the town of Watford to board and graduate from Ursuline College “The Pines”. In 1960 she went on to become a registered nurse at St Joseph Hospital in Chatham where she made many lifelong friends. She married Ivon in 1961 and became a wonderful homemaker for her husband and four boys.
Later in life Pat owned and operated “Sumpthin D’iffrnt” boutique for over 22 years. Pat was an active volunteer at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance gift shop, the IODE and the Catholic Women’s League. Pat was a very calm, patient, caring and loving lady.
She always had open arms and was willing to listen and show her unconditional love for all her family and friends. She was a very faithful servant of God and has now gone on to her heavenly home. She will be missed greatly.
The Pinsonneault family will be receiving family and friends at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday December 16, 2019 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 17, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church with visitation at the church from 9 am until 10 am.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Canadian Food for Children or to Breast Cancer Society of Canada and Chatham’s Outreach for Hunger.
A special thank-you to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for all their love and care given to Pat during her brief illness.
