Obituary of Ivon Pinsonneault
Please share a memory of Ivon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Ivon Joseph Pinsonneault passed away in his 83rd year surrounded by his family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on January 11, 2020. He was predeceased by the love of his life Patricia Pinsonneault (Burlingham) exactly one month ago on December 11th, 2019. Ivon was born in Pain Court to the late Alphonse and Alma Pinsonneault (Martin).
Loving father to Alan(Karen), Greg (Louise), Chris(Margaret) and Patrick(Carmen). Proud Pepe to 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Ronald (Carmel), Fern (Madeline), Frank (Janet) and his sister Julie Hall. Predeceased by a brother Edmond and a great grandson Hunter.
Ivon was a Real Estate Broker for 45 years, and a member of the Optimist Club, the Kent Chordsmen Club and the 4th degree Knights of Columbus. In his younger days he enjoyed playing the trumpet with the Police Boys Band, and in an orchestra band called the "Skylarks" that he and his friends had formed.
Ivon was a devout Christian and truly cherished the love and strength he received from his Church. It was most important to him to proclaim this joy to his family and friends. He also strongly believed and practiced his Christian responsibility to generously help those in need, particularly the hungry.
Ivon was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, especially when they won! He also loved to talk and joke around and had to know everyone's name. Without a doubt he sincerely enjoyed the company of others, especially fellow card players at the Moose Lodge. He looked forward and loved being the voice of the rooster who crowed 3 times during Good Friday mass at St. Joseph’s.
He will be fondly remembered as the Church greeter at Blessed Sacrament and an Usher at St. Joseph's Church. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday January 15, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 16, 2020 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church. Visiting at the Church from 10 to 11 am on Thursday.
