At London Health Science Centre University Campus, London, on Wednesday March 23, 2016, Peter John Luyt, age 82, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Patricia (Lachine) Luyt (2013). Born in Eberts, Ontario in 1933, son of the late Hilda (Ouwerkerk) and John Luyt.
Peter is a retired Contractor and a member of St. Ursula’s Church.
He is survived by his daughters; Brenda Vilaranda (Tony) and Lisa Luyt-Dozois (Michael). Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (Vince), Jennifer (Steve), Zachary (Phally) and Jacob (Kiersten) and great grandfather of Siena, Xavier and Maximilian. Dear brother of Lena Gilhuis (William). Predeceased by a sisters; Cora Donald and Jean Enderton and by brothers George, John D. and Richard Luyt.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday March 28, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 1 pm in St. Ursula’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation (Cardiac Care) or the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated.
