PRAY, SISTER MARGARET (Margaret Aimee), formerly Sister Mary Kevin, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1925, the daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Donlon) Pray. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1947. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a nurse in London, Windsor, and “The Pines”, Chatham. Sister Margaret retired from nursing in 1984 and pursued further studies. She was the Community Historian and wrote a two volume book “Pilgrims in Service” which relates the history of the Ursuline Community from 1535, the founding of the Ursulines in Italy to 1984. She moved from St. Ursula’s, Windsor to Chatham in 1994. She faithfully wrote up the “Tree of Life” life story for our Sisters at the time of their death until 2014. She is survived by her sister-in-law Catherine of Michigan and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Howard (Howie) Pray and Patrick Pray. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Margaret may be made to “Chatham Ursuline Charities”, 20 Merici Way, Chatham, Ontario N7L 3L8 or the charity of your choice.
