Peacefully surrounded by family at her residence in Chatham, on Thursday April 16, 2020, Eileen Countryman, age 83, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Wilfred Francis Countryman (2014).

 

Born in Ekfrid Township in 1936, daughter of the late Barbara (MacRae) and James McDonnell. Eileen worked at the A & P and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

 

Loving mother of Maureen Countryman, Lynn (Ed) Jacobs and Dan Countryman all of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Riley Countryman and step grandmother of Cedric Dubois-Neron and Will Oliphant.A very special Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and special great aunt to Kristy and Ryan Scaman. Dear sister of Philip (Mary Jean) McDonnell and sister in law Anne McDonnell.

 

Predeceased by her sisters Irene Tunstall (John), Mary Belanger (Ralph), Margaret Semchism (Peter) and brothers Tom, Dan and Gerald McDonnell (Ann) and also by 3 infant brothers.

 

Dear sister in law to Eileen Myers (Walter), Joan Charron (Romeo), Linda Reaume, Bonitia Brown.

 

Special Thanks goes out to Dr. Kathryn Bailey, Staff at Thamesview Family Health, Von Nurses, Care Partners, and Erie St. Clair LHIN.

 

Due to the current circumstances, there will be no public visitation or service at this time. Private family only.

 

Cremation to follow.

 

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 20, 2021 at 11 am in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial of ashes in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Thamesville.
