Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Friday March 18, 2016, Werner Alfred Walter Winkler, age 77, of Chatham, beloved husband of Inge (Mayereder) Winkler. Born in Berlin, Germany in 1938, son of the late Else (Krause) and Walter Winkler.
He is survived by children; Claudia Pleasance, Petra (John) Onion, step children; Annette (Mike) Szucs, Jennie (Paul) Watson, Patti (Bill) Caron and Henry Walburg Jr. (Becky). Grandfather of Daniel Pleasance, Amanda Szucs (Brian), Matthew Szucs (Kara), Chris Walburg (Belinda), Luke Watson (Dez), Alicia Lucio (Steve) and Rebecca Caron. Also sadly missed by great grandchildren; Aubrey and Scarlett Lucio, Khloe Szucs and Zoey Watson.
As were Werner’s wishes cremation has taken place and burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Werner
