Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, on Sunday May 10, 2020, Leonard “Len” William Labadie, age 72, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Phyllis Emma Labadie (2013).
Born in Chatham in 1947, son of the late Marie (Russelo) and William Labadie. Len owned and operated Diamond Sportswear here in Chatham.
He is survived by daughters; Sarah (Dezmin Shadd) Labadie, Stephanie Shoemaker, and son David (Teresa) Howes. Cherished grandfather of Aaron Labadie, Amber Whitford, Samantha Whitford, Kelly Lamanes, Curtis Cummings, Adrea Shadd, Ayden Dinga, Maia Shoemaker, and by great grandchildren; Logan Labadie,
Leiarah Labadie, Sebastien Lefebvre-Paquette.
Dear brother of Sheri (Mike) Houle, Brian (Margo) Labadie, Danny (Joan) Labadie and David Labadie.
Predeceased by daughters; Lori Authier (1995) and Cythia Whitford-Labadie (2010) and a sister Connie Caron.
As were Len’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
