At Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette Campus, on Sunday June 14, 2020, Ruthannia "Ruth" Jefferson, age 74, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Gary “Chappie” Jefferson (2004).
Born in Chatham in 1945, daughter of the late Lela (Wright) and Walter Solomon. Ruth was a huge fan of Nascar Driver Jeff Gordon 24.
Loving mother of Whitney Jefferson, Cheryl Anne Jefferson and Kathleen Jefferson. Cherished grandmother of Marcus, Andrew, Devon, Kyle, Dylan, Felicia, Nathan, Cody and Jesse, honorary grandson Tommy McNear and sadly missed by a great grandson Andrew Jefferson Jr. and by several great grandchildren.
Dear sister of Jean Solomon, Linda Travis, Sandra Miller and by a special nephew Dennis Brown and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers James and John Gross and sisters Barbara Selby and Marie Gross and by a sister-in-law Joyce Brown.
Because of the current Covid-19 restrictions, a private family visitation and service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home 156 William St. S., Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
