Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Tuesday March 15, 2016, Garth Acinto Stevens, age 69, of, beloved husband of Carlesta (VanDusen) Stevens. Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1946, predeceased by his parents and a brother Reggie Stevens. Dear father of Christopher and Jimmy Stevens both of Jamaica and LaMar VanDusen (Laura) of Pickering and Camille Jamssens of Kentucky. Cherished grandfather of Ainsley, Cierria, Tyson, D’Anthony, Isaiah and Jaxsen. Survived by 3 sisters and a brother in Jamaica, 3 sister-in-laws Marvel McLemore (Rick), Patti Reed, Jacky Taylor, and also brothers and sisters-in-law; John VanDusen (Eileen), Reese VanDusen, Penny Davis (Curtis), Hope VanDusen (Carlos) and Mackenzie VanDusen (Joanne). Garth will also be sadly missed nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm on Thursday March 17, 2016. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home on Friday March 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Leona Wright officiating. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
