Obituary of Erich Bellan

Suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday August 12, 2020, Erich Bellan, age 79, of Chatham, beloved husband of Cheryl (Scott) Bellan. 

Born in Czechoslovakia in 1941, son of the late Theresia (Rakocy) and Stefan Bellan. 

Erich was a Brick Layer by trade and owned his own business for over 40 years before his retirement.

Loving father of Erich (Rita) Bellan, Lee-Ann (Dan) Giroux, Tim (Lisa) Bellan, Tracy (Chip) Munro and Steve (Brenna) Bellan.

Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren, Devon, Scott, Jimmy & Ericka, Justine & Matt, Terra & Shane, Stephanie & Allan, Vanessa & Justin, Brenden, Kaylyn, Taylor & Taylor, Megan & Kaelin, Andrew, Sarah.  As well as 2 great grandchildren Zoey & Kai. Dear brother of Edith (Bruce) Carson.

Predeceased by a sister Erika Toth and 2 brothers; Helmuth and Steve Bellan.   

The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.

As were the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held in the funeral home at a later date.
