Peacefully, at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, Chatham, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Madeleine Marie Merritt, age 90, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Robert Merritt (1980). 

Born in Grande Pointe, daughter of the late Archangel and Zephire Pinsonneault.  She is survived by her sons Mike (Luanne) Merritt and Wayne Merritt both of Chatham, 2 grandchildren, Kristen (Josh) and Kyle (Taylor), 2 great grandchildren Stellan and Myra, 2 sisters Florence (John) Hric and Margaret (Isadore) Laurente.

Predeceased by her sister Irene (Jim) Reaume, her brothers Victor (Alice), Armand (Doreen) and Ernie (Marilyn) Pinsonneault.   

A private family service was held in the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 5, 2020 and her ashes were buried in Arnold Cemetery.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
