Obituary of Lillian Buis

After a hard-fought battle, she peacefully moved on, surrounded by family at her residence in Chatham, on Tuesday January 12, 2021.  Lillian Mary Buis, age 82, of Chatham, is the beloved wife of Peter Buis and will be forever in his heart an angel of love.  She was Born in Fargo, Ontario in 1938, daughter of the late Agnes (Hanak) and Frank Motycka.

Mom will be deeply missed by her three loving sons; Frank (Cheryl) of Burlington, Steve from Windsor, and Kevin (Aileen) of Guelph.  Grandma has inspired her 6 grandchildren; Christopher (Katy), Zachary (Shelby), Kaitlyn, Samuel, Henry and Jamey through her selfless pursuits. 

She is predeceased  by her sister Anne Mikulica (2008) and her husband Laddie (2014).  

The family wishes to thank Dr. Wolting and all the doctors and nurses for their care and compassion during her valiant seven year battle.  Also they would like to thank the VON nurses and Personal Support Workers that made her final days as comfortable as possible.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham Kent V.O.N. and Melanoma Research at London Health Sciences would be appreciated by the family. 

Due to Covid restrictions, only private family visitation will be held as well as Interment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. 

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday August 13, 2021 at 10am in St. Ursula's Church.
