Obituary of Frank Kwik Jr.

It is with great sadness the family of Frank Kwik Jr. announces his passing on January 12, 2021 at the age of 83 at home surrounded by his family.  Frank will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years Jeannine (Pottier) and Frank was survived by his four children, Norine (Greg) McFadden, Diane Kwik, John (Jana) Kwik, Christine Lucyk. 

Frank was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, Zosia, Geremy (Rebecca), Revis, Kersten, Veronica, Cameron, Larissa, Langdon, Lauren, Aiden, Garrett, Megan, Gordon, Kaitlyn and Renita. 

Frank was survived by is brother Richard (Kathy) Kwik and many nieces and nephews.  Frank was predeceased by his parents Frank and Josefa, sisters Jan, Wanda and Christine, and brother Stanley, and child Theresa. 

Frank was born in Bilgoraj Poland in 1937 and immigrated to Canada in 1950 where he first lived in Delhi before relocating to Chatham.  Frank was an active member in the Polish community and provided much of his life building the community with tasks such as building the church, maintaining the grounds and equipment and numerous hours supporting new polish immigrants that arrived in Chatham making them feel as family.  Frank above all was a loyal husband, father and grandfather, his children and grandchildren were his life’s devotion and he lived every minute for them.  And the dogs, he loved every dog that he had and they gave him so much joy. 

Also a special thanks to VON, Bayshore, Care Partners and the CCAC (LHIN) for providing compassionate care.  As tears roll down our cheeks we say goodbye to the best husband, father and grandfather, but the pain is less hurtful as we know God has reached out his hand “you won’t suffer anymore my son” and one day he will reach out his hand for us. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 and a Private Family Service will follow at 3 PM.  Visitation will also be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 1-3 PM.  Those wishing to attend visitation must sign up at https://signup.com/go/iKVJkAA.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
