Obituary of Ken McIntyre
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday March 2, 2021 Kenneth Francis Charles McIntyre passed away at the age of 90. Ken was the beloved husband of Mary (Labute) McIntyre for 65 years. Born in Chatham in 1930, son of the late Margaret (Connell) McIntyre and Wesley McIntyre. Ken served his country in the Korean War as a member of the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada. After returning from Korea he worked in the Manufacturing Department of Watson Concrete before his retirement.
He is survived by 2 children; Allan (Sandra) McIntyre, Bradley McIntyre and sister in laws Josephine Miller and Leona (Russell) London. Cherished grandfather of Chris (Amanda) Kimmerly, Jason (Lynnise) McIntyre, Shawn (Shari) McIntyre, and by 5 great grandchildren Victoria, Malcolm, Sadie, Trinity and Alexander.
Predeceased by sisters; Kathleen Orton, Jean McIntyre, Laura McIntyre, Eileen Almas and by brothers Fred McIntyre and Donald McIntyre.
As were Ken’s wishes, cremation will take place first and a memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Wednesday March 10, 2021 at 1 pm with Rev. John Maroney officiating.
