Obituary of Lori Smith (nee Carlsen)

Suddenly, at her Residence, Chatham, on Wednesday April 14, 2021, Betty Lorraine “Lori” Smith, age 59.  Beloved wife of John Smith.  Born in Chatham in 1962, daughter of the late Betty (Waucaush) and Hjalmar Carlsen.  

Loving mother of Randy Carlsen, Jason Carlsen (Michelle Balasin), Justin (Jessica) Carlsen and Ryan Carlsen. Dearest grandmother of Matthew, Keller, Autumn, Riker, Helena, Lincoln and Jensen.  Dear sister of Brian (Sue) Carlsen, Lynda Sands (nee Carlsen), and Jackie Carlsen.  She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Predeceased by her grandson Damon Carlsen, nephew Brandon Sands and niece Leslie Carlsen. 

Lori worked as a Personal Support Worker at the Chatham Retirement Resort for 20 years. 

A private family visitation was held at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120).  

Cremation followed.
