Obituary of Agnete Larsen

Agnete (Ann) Larsen of London, ON passed away on Saturday June 26, 2021 at the age of 101. Ann was born on April 2, 1920 in Ribe, Denmark, daughter of the late Matilde Anderson and Iver Petersen.

Ann was the beloved wife of the late Frede (Fred) Larsen whom she married in April 23, 1938. From their union, a legacy was created that first began in Denmark and continued in Canada.  They embarked on a ship with their 7 children and arrived in Canada in November 1956. 

This is where the family tree was rooted and the branches began to grow.

Ann is survived and will be sadly missed by her children, Irene Broeders, Lillian (Leslie) Russell, Elsie (late George) Rizopoulos, Willy (Bonnie) Larsen, and Anette (late Leigh) Bowden.  She was predeceased by two sons, Jim and Kaj.

She will be sadly missed by her 15 surviving grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Private family visitation will be held on Friday July 2, 2021 at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home located at 156 William Street South, Chatham (519-352-5120).

A private service and burial will then take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery with ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Pastor Mike Koppes officiating.
