Obituary of Manuel Carvalho De Castro

Suddenly at his Residence in Chatham on Friday August 27, 2021, Manuel Carvalho De Castro, age 79, of Chatham Kent, beloved husband of  Maria (Elias) De Castro. Born in Arqeriz Valpaços Portugal in 1942, son of the late Itelvina and José DeCastro. 

Loving father of Paula (Joe) Silva, Tina DeCastro (Don Brown) and Lisa (Matt) Serruys. Cherished grandfather of Cecilia, Marcus, Spencer, Benjamin and Henri. Also dearly missed by Carlos and Cinda Coelho and their children Monica and Andre.

Manuel was a gifted gardener who enjoyed tending to his garden and would often be found finding shade and taking a rest under his fruit trees. He loved sharing his harvest with everyone and cherished most of all the time he spent with his family.  

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday August 31, 2021 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes' Church.
