Obituary of Gregory Blonde

Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Friday September 10, 2021, after a long and successful farming career, Gregory Blonde died at age 93.  Beloved husband of the late Bernice (Cudney) Blonde (1995) and Helen (Roy) Blonde.  Born in 1928, son of the late Ethel (Beatie) and Ernest Blonde.  Loving father of Dan (Kathryn Bailey), Lynn (Brett) Benoit-Smith, Sheila (Tim) Chinnick and Brad (Kate) Blonde.  Dearest grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.  Dear brother of Verlyn Clifford.  He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Victor Knapik and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his grandson Leith Chinnick, and his siblings and their spouses Jean (John) Bushey, Mavis (Lloyd) Drury, Eileen Knapik, Ron Clifford, Leigh (Donna and Betty) Blonde and Leslie Blonde. 

A private family service has taken place at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120).  Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to Meals on Wheels, Chatham Catholic Family of Parishes (Blessed Sacrament) or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. 

Greg was a Dairyman, Cattleman, Drainage Contractor, Fertilizer Provider, Seed Representative, Seed Grower, active lifelong member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish Community  and member of Knights of Columbus.
