Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Wednesday September 29, 2021, George Hitchmough, age 94, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Francine (Cadotte) Wellwood and the late Norma (Griffiths) Hitchmough. 

Born in Wallacey, England in 1927, son of the late Sarah (Thomas) and Thomas Hitchmough.  

Step-father of Ruth Ann Laurie, Richard Wellwood and the late Dennis Wellwood. Also sadly missed by several grand and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dear brother of Ron and the late Maizy, Maureen, Doreen, William, Jackie and Thomas.

As were George’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation and service.

Cremation has taken place.

The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.

Donations to the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
