I am so sorry to hear about your Mom Pauline. I just found out today, as I did not previously see the obituary. I worked with Pauline for a long time and knew her and worked with her when she first started at Union Gas. You will miss her and again I am so sorry that I did not go to Funeral Home as I just did not know.

To my cousin Terry his wife and family, and Tim and his wife Heather on the passing of your mother. I have many fond memories of my dear Aunt Pauline. As a child of 7-9, I can still experience her joy as she would cook dinner in my grandparents kitchen. She must have only been about 24-27 but I thought she was such a classy young lady. As an adult I fondly recall her 3 visits to Florida to see me. Traveling brought out her playful side. I remember taking the bus to Chatham to see her in 2002 and then getting stuck in Canada because I did not have my birth certificate to re-enter the U.S. She took control and knew what to do. She had many difficult challenges in life, but I respected her for working full time and raising her boys, watching over her mother for many years and having to deal with cancer and a heart attack on her own. She had a range of emotions (some easy, some not) but I loved her dearly. I am grateful for the e-mails she shared. She got such satisfaction using her computer skills to keep in touch. Enjoy heaven Aunt Pauline! Love you always.

Our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to the family of our dear, Aunt Pauline Holek. There will be so many memories cherished, beginning with summers I would spend with her and Grandma Holly from my childhood. Aunt Pauline was a devoted Aunt. I will remember her words of wisdom the first day I went with Grandma to sell raspberries in front of the A&P store. She said, "You can do it. Always tell yourself, you have the ability to do it." In the years that followed, and after I married, her kindness toward my husband, my children and grandchildren was always there. Later, she became a spiritual mentor to me. We frequently emailed, exchanged photos and finally we were able to start zooming with one another. I have no doubt, she was welcomed to her heavenly home in the loving arms of our Creator. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you...until we meet again. She is missed, remembered and loved forever. Peace, love and prayers from Rodger, Diane (Osika) Houck, and Family.
