Obituary of Clement "Clem" Ritchie

Peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Sunday, January 16, 2022.  Born in Wallaceburg in 1934 to Muriel (Benn) and the late Clement Ritchie Sr.  Beloved husband of the late Frances (Corbett) Ritchie (2014). 

Loving father of Sandy Foster, Paul (Brenda) Ritchie, Judy (Frank) Wolanski and Leslie (Mike) Rulff and Brett (Margaret) Hunter.  Dearest grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Nancy (Dr. Richard) Inculet, Ted Ritchie and Norman (Kim) Ritchie. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his son Kevin (2016), daughters Jean Ritchie (2019), Brenda Jackson (2006), Karen Glover (2013) and Annette Hunter (2016), and his grandsons Nicholas and Ryan, his brothers Gary and Patrick Ritchie, and sisters Connie Walruth, Anne Vanatter and Dianne Ritchie. 

Clem was an active member of Branch 642 Royal Canadian Legion, and enjoyed cooking meals there for frequent functions. Clem also trained and raced horses for sulky racing in Dresden as well as other locations, and enjoyed fishing. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 1-4 PM.   A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11 AM.
