Please share a memory of Claude to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Claude Rivest, peacefully entered the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Saviour on Monday, June 27th, 2022 at 79 years of age after a brief illness.

He was married to the love of his life Carol (nee McNeil) for 56 years and together they raised 3 children: Renee & Wayne Mills, Jeff & Joanne Rivest, and Deborah & John Hormillosa.  He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 10 grandchildren:  Ryan & Faith Mills, Michelle Bural, Darryn Mills, Kyle & Katie Rivest, Lauren & Colt Colenutt, Conner Rivest, Katherine Rivest, Owen Hormillosa, Elle Hormillosa, and River Hormillosa. He also cherished his 5 great-grandchildren:  Dillon Bural, Emma Bural, Selah Mills, Levi Mills, and Maisie Rivest.

Claude is survived by his sister Eleonore Anderson and Carol’s siblings. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Florina (nee Desmarais), and his siblings Agnes, Larry, Hedy, Leon, Suzanne, Paul, Norbert, Rosalie, Wilfred, Louis, Gerald, and Elise. Claude was raised on a working farm, taught grade school, and for the majority of his life enjoyed the craft and business of building custom homes.

He loved to laugh and found so much joy spending time with his grandchildren. Along with Carol, he devoted the last 25 years of his life travelling to Mexico to feed, clothe and share the good news of the gospel to those in need.

He was a true friend, encourager, minister to many, and had a contagious smile that no one will ever forget.

A celebration of life honouring Claude will be held on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at Kingsville Community Church, 1860 Division Road North, Kingsville, ON  by way of a Visitation Open House from 1-4 with Memories shared with everyone at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. Online condolences welcomed at www.peseski.com.
