Cindy was a loving partner and soulmate for Mark, and a caring, nurturing and adoring mother for Eric and Gina. She was also a fun and engaging daughter-in-law and sister-in-law to us, and she will be missed dearly.....we hope she is in the arms of her mom and dad, laughing with the angels!
Love ... June, Pete, Joe, Charlie, Dan and Jerry Lacina

When Mark first introduced me to Cindy, I knew he had found his partner for life. I wish we had lived closer so we could have visited more often, but when we did get together it was always fun and Cindy was always a light-hearted, caring, funny, and kind host to us, and we always regretted having to leave! She also knew her football--more often than not beating Mark and I in the Union Gas football pool over the years. Cindy has left us too soon, but has also left us with incredibly good memories, because she was such a special person.
With love and appreciation,
Mark Crawford

We look back fondly on camping together at MacGregor Point - so many bike rides, walks to the Hidden Pond and campfires - special times.
Christmas wasn't Christmas until we visited the Lacinas. Cindy always met us with a warm smile, a big hug and a specially selected box of cookies.
Lots of love and condolences,
The Cheney Family

Dear Mark, Eric and Georgina
I am so so sorry and saddened to learn of Cindy's passing. It's been a long long while since we had connected from our old John Uyen school days - but I have such fond memories of Cindy and her beautiful family. Always enjoyed our conversations - she had great stories to share and I loved her enthusiasm, smile and a good laugh. Cindy was a great advocate and so engaged in the kids learning. Heartfelt thoughts and prayers are sent your way.

Another beautiful soul gone much too soon. Cindy was a wonderful daycare provider to our son many years ago. We never worried about him, knowing he was in the care of special hands who always gave 100+ percent to the kids in her care. She treated him and the others like her own - and what a relief to us.
Our most deepest sympathies to Mark, Gina, Eric and all of Cindy's family and friends. All who knew her were blessed to have her in their lives.
With love and big hugs,
Jim, Tricia and Ethan Tengelis

Dearest Mark, Eric, Gina and Family. We are so saddened to hear of the loss of your wife and mom. What a wonderful human being Cindy was! What does one say about a woman who helped raise our 4 children? We kept her busy at "Lacina Little Things Daycare" but we never once worried about the love they were missing from mom and dad, as Cindy had an infinite amount of love to share....not to mention her boundless patience!! Every evening as I drove home with the kids, I looked forward to hearing about the adventures of the day at Cindy's house. From the themed parties to the road trips to the beach to the afternoons at the public pool. She loved all the kids in her care as her own.
I know you all will remember fondly the wonderful memories made with your wife/mom. Her infectious smile and hearty laugh still resound in our memories. We are sending love and hugs from Houston, Texas.
With a heavy heart, Jim, Angela, Hanna, Marley, Aaron and Ian Ferguson

Our sincere condolences to you Mark, Eric and Gina with the loss of your wife and mother - we are saddened by the news. We will always remember Cindy with great, great fondness, as the kid’s daycare provider growing up, our neighbour and our friend. Her caring, fun approach – with the right amount of tough love - provided a positive and nurturing environment during the kid’s early years, for which we will always be very thankful. Her laughter and fresh spirit will always be in our hearts. Please take care – we are thinking of you. Lesley, Steve, Noah, Natalie and Luke.
