Obituary of Maria Eugenio

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, Chatham, on Wednesday November 15, 2023, Maria Eugenio, age 87, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Arthur Carreiro Eugenio (1987). 

Born in The Azores, Portugal in 1936, daughter of the late Maria (Carreiro) and Jose Pacheco.  

Loving mother of Maria (Jose) Frias, Margarett Eugenio and Arthur (Erica) Eugenio. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Victoria Frias, Joshua and Nicholas Eugenio. Dear sister of Maria do Carmo (Manuel) Raposo, Maria Eduarda (Antonio) Vicente. Also sadly missed by a sister-in-law Natalia Pacheco and a brother-in-law Leandro Saraiva and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters and brothers; Maria dos Anjos (dec.Antonino) Feitor, Maria Madalena Saraiva, Jose Pacheco, Manuel (dec.Maria dos Anjos) Pacheco.

Her Faith sustained her all her life especially her devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday November 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated.
