Dear family, Just yesterday I was talking about our fantastic vacation and family visit in Canada with my 90 year old mother Lea Heremans, daugther of Bertha Lissens and cousin of Guido,Herman and Maria. I still remember your uncle as a very nice person, his super 8 movies that we wached. Herman gave me a silver Canadian dollar which is now in possession of our oldest daugther Stephanie. I was googeling today for your family and so I read that Herman passen away. I whish to give you all my deepest regrets and hope someday to meet or have contact with you. Only for this message I opened an account on Facebook.we wish you all the best. Edwin De Keersmaecker and Greet De Backer Who I Think your father Guido has met and also Paul in Mortsel.

So sorry to hear about Herman passing away. He was a pleasant guy to visit with at the barber shop. We talked about life in downtown Chatham and the interesting characters we came across. Take care of each other and be comforted with a future hope. Rev. 21:4

Herman, with his thoughtful heart and deep love for those around him, forged a sanctuary for family far and wide within his home. With unwavering faith as his guide, he opened doors to welcome loved ones with warmth that extended beyond the Canadian borders where he resided. His absence leaves a space in our hearts filled with cherished memories.

I am so very sorry about Herman’s passing. I knew him from working at the Ministry of Transportation. Always a very cordial gentleman and very quiet. When I worked at the library I would often see Herman outside working on his yard. Sincere condolences are extended to Herman’s family.
