Peacefully, surrounded by loving family who participated in the sacrament of the annointing of the sick, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Saturday April 13, 2024, Herman Van Meerbergen, age 84, beloved son of the late Emma (Lissens) and Joseph Van Meerbergen. 

Loving brother of Guido (Jeannette) Van Meerbergen of London and Maria Nicholson of Windsor.

Dear uncle of Paul (Linda) Van Meerbergen, Kathy (Stephen) Ilines, Patrick (Susan) Van Meerbergen, Peter Van Meerbergen, Lisa (Chris) Wright, Lissa Kuzych, Nicole Oleson (Alan), Jacqui McMenamin, Charlene Smith (Steve), Joey Nicholson (Aniko), & Danielle Nicholson (Robert). Great uncle of twenty-two nieces and nephews. Great, Great uncle of five nieces and nephews.   

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, April 24th from 6-8 pm. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25th at 11:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society of South Western Ontario, St. Joseph's parish, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Herman will be dearly missed, but forever in our hearts.
