Deepest condolences to the family.
Father married our daughter Jennifer at Sacred Heart, Port Lambton in 1991 and I am happy to say
the marriage grows stronger each year. Our family was blessed that day.
Father’s mission is now complete and he rests in the Lord.

The first time I met Fr. Bill he was sitting on his back porch reading with his cats lying around his feet
and his dogs lying under the tree in the middle of his back yard. I will always remember Fr. Bill as a
very kind person who loved animals and people.
Condolences to his family.

God bless Father Bill. He was always so friendly to and extremely supportive of our family. Over thirty years ago when our dear Dad was dying, Father Bill came to our home in the middle of a blizzard, on New Year’s Day, simply because when he asked about Dad’s condition at mass that morning, our Mother’s eyes filled with tears. His kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

I really liked Fr. Bill. It was a treat whenever he came to say mass at Immaculate Heart Parish in Windsor. He was gentle, kind, honest and compassionate. He followed the news and integrated reality into his homilies. I am saddened to hear of Fr. Bill's passing, but am smiling knowing he's with our Lord. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him.

Anyone who ever met Fr. Capitano would have been touched by his compassion , concern and love especially for those in need. We loved in his retirement seeing him pull up to St.Alphonsus Church so often with his dog in his car to celebrate Mass with us. He loved animals, he loved people and we loved him. My condolences to his family and to his dear friends Darlene and Robert who were always by his side. I was blessed to have known him. ❤️❤️❤️

Father Capitano was a sweet man who I met when he came to our church St. Christopher's in Forest. We always looked forward to his visits and his friendly attitude. His homilies were always interesting and wide ranging, his masses smiling and reverent, and I always giggled at his gratitude to his driver who he never forgot to thank every mass we had with him.

Father Bill holds a very special place in our hearts. As his cousin, I always knew him as a soft spoken man who dedicated his life to the priesthood and performed several Catholic functions in our family including my parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary and both of their funerals. We are sad to lose such a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. He is surely looking out for all of us at the Lord’s table in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Father Bill.

I got to know Fr. Capitano when I lived in Windsor and attended St. Alphonsus church. I served Mass for him on many occasions. He was a very kind priest who loved the Lord and continually shared His love with others. He had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor, and people felt comfortable in his presence. May the Lord grant him eternal peace and joy.
In Christ,
Father Robert Weaver
