I was so sad to hear of Ruth's passing. She was a very kind and generous person who was always there when you needed help and support. She taught me many things during our joint years with MTO. Everyone will miss her very much, especially at the MTO breakfasts.

As a driving school owner, I had the utmost pleasure of dealing with Ruth either over the phone or in person. She was a ray of sunshine. She would bring her granddaughter to my office with treats for my 2 little chihuahuas. I also became involved with her as a business block parent. She was an amazing lady and I will always cherish our conversations
Sincere condolences to her family

Sincere condolences to Ruth's family. You were blessed with the best ! I recall bringing nervous students to MTO and finding the most compassionate and encouraging check in with her on their test days . I was delighted to reconnect at RVG and to share memories while visiting in the cafe there. Heaven has gained another treasure . With sincere sympathy for your loss. Shirley McLellan

My deepest condolences.
Ruth (AKA Granny) was a one of a kind!
I had the honour of working with Granny at Service Ontario for a few years and her heart was one of the biggest I’ve ever met. Her wisdom and guidance she has given me along my way will never be forgotten. Granny, I am doing the email for Spencer like you had told me to do and each time I write one I think of you. Thank you for being one of the best people I had the opportunity to work with.
You will never be forgotten, just missed deeply.
Mel, Geoff and Spencer

Kevin, Christopher, Sarah and I are so sad to hear of Ruthie's passing. She opened her home to us years ago while renovations were being done on our house and we spent many summers in her backyard enjoying the pool. We were truly blessed to call her our friend. Our sincere condolences to her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

There are not enough words to describe this amazing woman and the huge holes she has left in the hearts of family, friends, fellow employees and social groups. Ruth was always the one who organized social events, day trips, Xmas parties, etc. Her profound love of all her pets could not be beat. Ruth was the glue who held everyone together…when we were sad, there would be a small note/card, newspaper clipping, in the mail or on our desk, giving words of encouragement and wisdom. Family always came first. Ruth, you will be so very much missed. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I’m sure Ruthie ‘B’ skidded into heaven with her hair on fire asking “where’s the party?”
To Ruthie’s family you have lost a treasure. She loved you all so very much! My sincerest condolences to you all!
Ruth and I were colleagues and friends. She was my mentor. Ruth was a storyteller and in that spirit I would like to share a few special memories. Ruthie was the heart and glue of the office. Every year she dressed as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Halloween was her favourite time! One time she came to my place trick or treating for beer. Her lion costume didn’t fair so well! The tail got stuck in the door of the car and was dragging on the pavement. I guess it sounded like a flat tire. Once back to Chatham it was discovered that the lion tail was now hairless!!!
Sooo funny! Ruthie loved to laugh!!!
Then there was the golf incident at Indian Creek Golf Course during the MTO Charity Golf Tournament. Following 9 holes of golfing we decided to go joyriding (visiting) the other golfers instead of golfing the next 9 holes. Our visiting was going very well until the Marshall caught us serpentining the trees. Yes, you guessed it, we got thrown off the course! Once again we laughed and laughed!
Oh Ruthie, you have brought such joy to so many people. I can’t believe you are gone!
You were the best of all of us, and I will miss you!
Rest in peace dear friend, you have earned your wings!
Love you,
Judy McKeon XO

Ruth was a generous soul who cared for so many people. She was a champion of her family and friends accomplishments and remembered so many special occasions with cards or calls to share her friendship. Her faith in humanity was only matched by her love of animals. Though she had her physical struggles her optimism and smile continued to be shared with her friends and coworkers. She will be remembered for all her kind qualities as we share many stories of our times together over many years of friendship.
Sending kind thoughts to her family and friends who share this loss of a wonderful friend and person.
