I knew Mrs. Bas through her children who attended Tecumseh Public School. Mrs. Bas was a very lovely lady who always had a big smile and words of encouragement for her sons' teachers. I never saw her without her winning smile. I personally really appreciated her supportive words and her cute sense of humour.
When my mother died, she was very kind to me. I will never forget that.
Mrs. Bas will now live on in the precious memories that she has left behind for her family and friends.

I am sorry to hear of Shelley's passing at an early age. I always smiled when I saw her coming through the hallway at the hospital, where we worked. Shelley was very professional, however, just with her eyes, she could communicate when she found something to be absurd. If prompted, she could share a quick little comment or two, which always made me laugh. I hope we all got to share some of that sense of humour and that some of it got passed on to her loving family.

Attending college in Windsor, I travelled 4 hours to live in a stran ger -Dorothy's home. What could have been a daunting experience, sharing a room for 2 years with someone I didn't know and not knowing anyone in the area. But thankfully my roommate turned out to be Shelly! A wonderful fun person who loved to laugh as i did. Many fun experinces were had during the two years. After college we locationally distant but managed to keep the friendship going.
Shelly's kind heart and spirit will never be forgotten
Take care my Friend

To Shelley's family,
I was very sorry to hear about Shelley. I would spend time with her in the lab trying to refine processes and practices to improve patient safety. She was so diligent in her work and so caring about doing things the right way. I always enjoyed the tidbits she shared about her family- definitely a proud Mom. Please accept my sincere condolences.

So very sorry to hear this sad news. She was such a nice sweet woman. I used to sit with her while she proudly watched her son’s bowl.
My condolences to her family

I knew Shelley from high school, JMSS, and we were first year St Clair college roommates in Windsor in the same program. I ended up in nursing, moved out of town then eventually back to Chatham. Once the hospitals amalgamation I would run into Shelley and we would always have great talks. She had the greatest smile and giggle. I am so sorry for the family’s loss, much too young. My condolences to her sons, brother and extended family.
