Obituary of Christine Cecilia Thompson
Christine Cecilia Thompson (née Wilkosz) passed away Friday July 19, 2024 at the age of 94 unexpectedly and peacefully in her favourite spot in the home her father built.
Born in East Windsor, Ontario to Polish immigrant parents, Josephine (Kawa) and Adam Wilkosz. She was very proud of her heritage. In addition to her parents, her husband Richard “Dick” Thompson preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Christopher Thompson and daughter Elizabeth Hess (Tobin). Christine had a passion for music from an early age and was so fortunate that her talent led to a long and happy career doing what she enjoyed after graduating from Eastman School of Music in 1954. She was a real go-getter in life and had many accomplishments.
She never slowed down and lived each day to its fullest. She truly was amazing. Besides her love of music and her children, she loved sitting in her garden admiring her flowers and shoeing away squirrels, eating vanilla ice cream, watching Columbo movies, reading a good book, chatting with friends and family, and travelling the world by car, plane, or cruise ship!! The Lord and the heavens have opened their arms and hearts for a very kind, loving, and musical angel.
Friends may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday July 26, 2024 from 10 am-12 pm.
Service at 12:00 and burial to follow.
