I knew Doug through friends in the 1990's.. He was someone you could look to for advice....or.just a shoulder to lean on...When we played "cat and mouse" a game where you would find someone from the "ping" from your CB radio.. Those were the good Ole days & memories of the fun times we had... RIP Doug you have earned your wings... Til we meet again on the other side of life...

My condolences to George, Sparks and Pearson families, I spent many hours over the past 50 years listening to Doug’s stories. He loved all of you, he is now visiting with his mom,dad and Nancy in Heaven. RIP free from pain Doug.

My deepest sympathy to all of Doug’s family and friends. My family’s cottage was right next to the 2 Sparks cottages. I have such great childhood memories of Frank, Dougie and I spending our summers playing trucks and cars on the beach, swimming, boating, bon fires, all kinds of fun. The memory of that today made me smile and I am sure the many memories you have will hopefully comfort you. Susan Dawson (Allison)

Doug was in my first marriage and I lived with him and Georgina I even worked for him as a secretary for Angles limo service. He was also there for the birth of my daughter Doug you will be sadly missed

Me , Doug , Georgian and others watched the retro fest parade of cars downtown all the time in Chatham too. His sense of humour and he loved his Toronto maple leafs. :)

To his family prayers are with you all. So many memories with you and Georgian at tim hortons. In the parking lot having coffees with many laughs and you had to get donut for your dog or the dog would be mad if you came home with no donuts . Watching a game in your apt with Georgian , you , junior , Dale and rob. And hanging out on the patio ...you will be sadly Missed ...

We had alot of good times with him hanging out ar 3rd street tim hortons in the parking lot with Georgian and the dog. Went to they're place with other friends . He loved his coffee and had to bring a donut home for the dog all the time :) to his family prayers are with you all . Love Michelle and ted

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I didn't know Doug all that well but in passing, he was a kind soul. I do remember his love of anything with an engine though. Requiescat In Pace (Rest in Peace), Doug.
