Obituary of Lillian Denomy
At the end of a long and well-lived life, Lillian (Milne) Denomy passed away peacefully in her one hundredth year at St. Andrew’s Residence Chatham on August 14, 2017. Born in Scotland Lillian immigrated to Canada at the age of seven with her parents Robert and Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Milne. In 1942, Lillian married Joseph Francis Denomy and remained his devoted and dearly loved wife until his death in 2008. Lillian was a loving and excellent wife, mother and homemaker. She had a life-long interest in learning, a delightful sense of humour and an open, warm heart. She is survived by four children: Elizabeth (the late Gordon Beckett); Kathleen (Mark Brett); Michael (Jo Ann Bondy) and Denise (Michael Zuk). Along with her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her dear sons, Robert (Cathy Low) and Jude (Cathy Huevelmans). At the time of her passing she was a loving grandmother to 12 and a great-grandmother to 14. All who knew her mourn her passing. A private family funeral was held. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are of the nature to die. There is no way to escape death.
All that is dear to us and everyone we love are of the nature to change.
There is no way to escape being separated from them.
